Lynne

Practice Manager

Lynne started working in a dental office after high school and has been doing it ever since.  Along the way, she earned a Bachelor's degree in business and accepted an administrative position with Legacy. She continued her education earning her MBA several years later. After more than 30 years at Legacy, Lynne continues to enjoy catching up with long-term patients, welcoming new patients, and keeping the office moving forward. She considers it a privilege to work with a group of dedicated and caring individuals each day. After hours, her passions include family and friends, cars, running, and is committed to her volunteer position with a local non-profit organization.

Paula

Patient Care Coordinator

Healthcare was always an interest to Paula so while in high school she took advantage of an opportunity to attend a dental assisting program. After graduation, she spent three years working as a dental assistant before accepting a position as a scheduling coordinator.  She has been with Legacy Dental Group for over 30 years and continues to enjoy the interaction with patients and coworkers. She sees it as an extended family, working together for better health for all.  After hours, Paula plays softball, bikes, camps, and is trying her hand at golf.  She also loves to go up north to spend time at the beach with her family.

Shauntrice

Patient Care Coordinator

While in high school, a career assessment test suggested that the dental field would be the place for Shaunie. After exploring other options, she attended the Kaplan Career Institute dental assisting program. After graduating from the program, she spend 3 years at Legacy as a chairside assistant.  She then transitioned to the position of Scheduling Coordinator where she continues to look forward to each day's new adventures. Shaunie finds the relationships she builds with the patients to be very enjoyable and rewarding.  Outside of the office, she enjoys spending time with family and friends. She also finds it fun to stay up on all the latest fashion trends.

Patty

Dental Hygienist

Influenced by a family friend who was a dentist, a sister in the medical field, and research on dental hygiene, Patty knew her love for people and the ability to help make them smile would make dental hygiene a very rewarding career. Every day, she enjoys the many laughs and comradery among our dental team while reaching a common goal to help people feel good about their teeth.  She also enjoys the opportunity to educate her patients about their overall health which is so important. When not at the office, she and her husband enjoy their life on the lake, be it boating or snowmobiling. Spending time with their children and grandchildren is a priority and they enjoy motorcycling and travel.  Each year they try to find a unique place to visit

Tracey

Dental Hygienist

Working as a "gopher" in a dental office during her senior year of high school turned into great insight to what would be Tracey's future career. As a member of the Legacy Dental Group team, she enjoys getting to know her patients better each time she sees them as well as meeting new patients.  Her goal is to help each person understand the importance of regular dental care and good home care to keep them healthy. Tracey's priority is her family.  Her children are grown but she spends as much time a possible with them. She also makes time for reading and yoga--her perfect thing for mind/body/soul.

Gail

Dental Hygienist

While in high school and contemplating careers, Gail's father notice a small article in the newspaper about the opportunities in dental hygiene. After spending a short time working in a local dental office, I applied to both U of M and Ferris State: she choose to attend Ferris. Over 45 year later, she still finds the profession rewarding and interesting.  Days that are more leisurely with a predictable pace are her favorite--meeting with new patients and catching up with those she has been treating for many years. To Gail, it is like an extended family having worked at Legacy Dental Group since 1988. In her off hours, she enjoys reading, knitting, sewing, sailing, and spending time at our place "up north."

Cindy

Dental Hygienist

My first passion was music but I was advised to have a backup so I job-shadowed my father's best friend, a dentist, and subsequently decided to go into dentistry. I enjoy working with patients and helping them establish good oral health and benefit their general health. Outside the office I try to enjoy water sports when possible, dancing, singing, and spending time with family and friends. I also am involved with helping our veterans.

Kelly

Dental Hygienist

As a child, Kelly had a great dental hygienist who would let her "assist" while her brother got his teeth cleaned.  So it made going to the dentist fun and by the time she was five years old, she knew she wanted to be a hygienist.  Kelly never waivered from that goal and that lead her to Ferris State University and ultimately to Legacy Dental Group.  What she enjoys most about her days in the office are the relationships she has with her patients and she finds it fun to watch her young patients group up as the years pass. Outside of the office, Kelly enjoys spending time with her husband and two sons.  They love being outdoors and having fun with family and friends.

Karen

Dental Hygienist

As a senior in high school, Karen was given the opportunity to take over her mother's job in a dental office where she had worked for years. That prompted Karen to pursue a career in dental hygiene and she considers it the best decision ever.  "Working at Legacy Dental Group allows me to participate in providing great dental care and to grow my dental and health knowledge."  Karen is very involved in several local and state organizations and enjoys sharing time with other dental professionals.  She also appreciates the relationships that have flourished over the years with the patients. When not in the office, she likes to bowl, golf, garden, and play euchre. She also spends time with her daughters and hanging out with her grandchildren.

Alissa

Dental Assistant

When Alissa was younger, a friend, knowing of her interest in the dental field, introduced her to a dentist who was kind enough to hire and train her.  She ended up working for him for twenty years until he retired.  She joined the staff at Legacy Dental Group in 2011.  For Alissa, the best part of being a dental assistant is that every day brings new and interesting challenges. She especially enjoys esthetic treatment and finds it exciting for patients to finally get that beautiful smile they have dreamed about. When not in the office, she enjoys traveling the world so she is always thinking about where she and her husband can go next. Plus, lately she has been dabbling in golf and hopes to continue to improve quickly!

Sue

Dental Assistant

After her two boys were in school full time, Sue became interested in finding a full-time job in the healthcare field and was given the opportunity to learn dental assisting from Dr. Mills and his assistant. "They were both great teachers and I have been working with Dr. Mills and Legacy Dental Group for over 25 years."  The best part of her job is working with patients--getting to know them and hearing about their families. Sue feels as if they are friends, not just patients.  On a personal level, she loves to read, especially mysteries.  She also enjoys gardening in the summer and she and her husband have recently rescued a puppy who they named Macy.

Robin

Dental Assistant

Robin began her dental assisting career through a family friend's referral. That lead her to an opportunity for training in the dental field.  Through her career, Robin has worked as an endodontic (root canal) assistant for 12 years and as an assistant to a pedodonist for 3 years which included the experience of working at Children's Hospital on special cases. Robin joined the Legacy Dental Group team in 2016 and thoroughly enjoys working with every patient, but the younger patients are her favorites. Her goal is to make their visits with us as comfortable as possible.  With three children of their own, Robin and her husband spend as much time as they can making every day special.  In addition to spending time with her family, she is an avid car person and enjoys spending time with her family of car enthusiasts too.

Genevieve

Dental Assistant

Dentistry and healthcare have always been an interest of Genevieve's. So, when a nicer smile gave her more confidence, it was clear that the dental field was for her because she wanted to help others feel the same way.  Working at Legacy Dental Group, Genevieve loves constantly learning and build relationships with the wonderful patients.  Plus, she feels her coworkers and work environment make each day special. Outside of the office, her interest in health continues so you will find her at the gym with her boxing gloves on or googling my next travel destination!
