Legacy Dental Group was started in Detroit in 1896 by Dr. Albert Le Gro, who pioneered the modern porcelain crown. Dr. Le Gro was joined in 1927 by Dr. Avery Bartlett, a renowned dental educator. In 1953, Dr. Bartlett’s son Dr. Jack Barlett joined the practice, moved the dental office to Birmingham, and, in turn, invited Dr. Jeffrey C. Grabiel to join once his father retired. Dr. Bartlett retired in 1988.
Then, in 1989, Dr. Grabiel and Dr. John W. Mills decided to combine their offices by moving into their current location on Old Woodward Avenue where they, along with Dr. Raymond J. Kim, continue to provide the Metro Detroit area with world class dental care.
Legacy Dental’s patients benefit from much more than 120 years of history.
